Frequently Asked Questions

May I visit my child at camp?

We highly encourage parents to visit us any time during the week. A popular time for visits is the evening chapel which starts at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday night is skit night which starts at 7:00 p.m. which is always popular. If you would like to visit during meal time, please let us know ahead of time so we can notify the kitchen staff. There is a charge of $5.00 per meal for our visitors.

How does the canteen work?

The price of the canteen is included in the camp fee for both Mini Camp and Full Camp. The canteen will be opened numerous times during camp and each camper can get two items each time the canteen is open.

May my child attend for part of the week?

This will be allowed, provided there is an empty bed. We will not hold a bed for someone to attend for part of the week, and deny someone wishing to attend for the whole week.

May I spend the night with my child at camp?

This is not possible during full camp, because every bed is usually taken. For Mini Camp we do allow parents to attend with their child. The cost is $100.00.

What happens if my child gets sick or hurt at camp?

We have a nurse on duty full time, that can handle the minor problems that come up. If there is any question about the seriousness of the injury or illness, we carry the camper to the emergency room at the Guntersville/Arab hospital. Parents are ALWAYS contacted immediately if any problems arise?

My child is on medication. Does this prevent him from attending?

No. When you check in to camp, we ask that you leave the medication with the camp nurse. She will make sure that the medication is given properly.

How are campers assigned to cabins?

Campers are grouped into cabins by age and gender. Sometimes an age group may have to be separated into two cabins. When this happens, we try to divide the campers by which school and church they attend. Every effort is made to keep "friends" together.

May I request to be in a cabin with someone?

Yes, we try very hard to honor all such requests. If you are the same age as the person you request to be with it is no problem. If we have to move a camper, we will always move the older camper to a younger cabin. A younger camper will never be moved to an older cabin.

What do I need to do if I have registered but I am unable to attend camp?

Please notify us as soon as possible by email director@limestonebiblecamp.org . If you have pre-paid we will refund your money. We usually have a waiting list, so please let us know as soon as possible if you do not plan on attending.

When do I have to pay for camp?

You may pay for camp on the day you bring your child.

If my child has to leave camp early will I get a partial refund.

No. We have to pay up front for the number of campers we have registered. Food is ordered and supplies are purchased in advance.
